I created this 3d sculpted character in 2006 using Zbrush. Since then I have put this model into a game engine, and 3d printed it in full color using a 3d model file and UV texture map file. 11 years later and this stuff has advanced significantly, at the time hi res next gen characters were pretty new, now its much easier, and I can still create anything in Zbrush and C4d.
